A field note is a small record of attention.

Meadow and shore notes

Rockfish Meadows is an independent nature journal about open landscapes and the changing edges where land meets water.

Our approach

Describe what can be observed before drawing a conclusion. Keep a record modest, specific, and mindful of the place being visited.

What this is

General ideas for noticing nature, not a live wildlife log or a guide to a specific protected area.
